What is Holistic Counselling?
Holistic Counselling utilises a range of theories and frameworks, based upon both talk therapy and body work. My practice is based primarily on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT); Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT); Strengths Based and a Person-Centred approach. I believe many mental health challenges are a normal response to traumatic events, interpersonal conflict and social isolation.
How I can support you —
Together we will establish an individualised counselling plan that meets your specific goals and needs. This is done within a trauma-informed, safe and collaborative therapeutic relationship. Individuals may be seeking counselling for a range of issues and concerns:
- Depression and anxiety
- Stress management
- Goal setting and coaching
- Grief and loss
- Trauma, including post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and complex trauma (C-PTSD)

Are you a clinician that needs support?
As a qualified Social Worker, I have provided clinical supervision to frontline staff working in domestic violence refuge; sexual assault services and crisis support services. My years of working and managing domestic violence refuges and a statewide sexual assault service, has provided a unique and comprehensive understanding of the ethical dilemmas and systemic complexities faced by workers in this sector.
I provide a safe space for Social Workers & Allied Health Professionals to engage in critical reflection and am very passionate about safeguarding frontline workers from the impact of vicarious trauma and burnout. Within clinical supervision, we will work collaboratively to develop an individualised professional development and wellbeing plan.
As an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker, I can support and guide Social Workers through the AMHSW application process to assist Social Workers to become mental health accredited.
